在成都市教育科学研究院主办的2025年中小学师生“用外语讲好中国故事”爱国主义主题展示活动中，石室天府国际部付EX、段YY、高JY三位同学凭借作品《The Wisdom of Chopsticks: A Story of Harmony and Balance》脱颖而出，荣获高中组一等奖，展现了出色的跨文化沟通能力与深厚的文化底蕴。

本次活动以 “用外语讲好中国故事，向世界推介中华文化” 为主题，涵盖英语、日语、德语、法语、西班牙语等多个语种，吸引了全市广大师生踊跃参与。活动旨在通过外语讲述中国故事，引导青少年深入理解中华优秀传统文化，增强文化自信与爱国情怀，培养具有国际视野与文化传承的时代新人。

石室天府国际部学子以“筷子”这一日常器物为切入点，用流畅的英语讲述了中国哲学中和谐、平衡、统一的深远智慧。

作品从五个维度层层递进：

合作与和谐：筷子成对协作使用，象征“和而不同”的哲学，呼应阴阳平衡与五行相生的智慧；

平衡的哲学：使用筷子需把握力度，隐喻“中庸之道”与老子“千里之行，始于足下”的处世智慧；

家庭与传承：春节围坐共餐、父母教子用筷的场景，传递尊重、耐心与关爱的价值观；

全球共鸣：筷子跨越国界，成为中日韩越等国家及全球多元文化的共通符号；

时代启示：以筷子为喻，呼吁全球化时代，通过合作与团结应对挑战，共建和谐社会。

短短三分多钟，同学们以生动的叙事、深刻的哲思与流畅的外语表达，将中华文化中蕴含的智慧娓娓道来，赢得评委一致好评，斩获高中组一等奖。

Have you ever thought about how a simple pair of chopsticks can tell a deep cultural story? Today, We want to share with you the wisdom hidden in this everyday tool — a wisdom that reflects the heart of Chinese philosophy: harmony, balance, and unity.

The Symbolism of Chopsticks

Chopsticks are more than just eating utensils. They are a symbol of cooperation. Unlike a knife and fork, which cut and pierce, chopsticks work together — gently picking up food, never separating.

This reflects a core Chinese value: harmony. In Chinese philosophy, harmony doesn’t mean sameness. It means different elements working together in balance. Just like yin and yang, or the five elements in traditional Chinese medicine, chopsticks remind us that strength lies in unity, not separation.

A Lesson in Balance

Using chopsticks also teaches patience and balance. You cannot rush. You must hold them firmly, yet gently — too tight, and you drop the food; too loose, and you lose control.
